From The New York Shitty Inbox, Part II: An Arrest At 373 Graham Avenue

I just received this update from Deputy Inspector Hurson himself:

We arrested Joseph Loiacono last night for forcible touching (he placed his hands on his female victims genitals). The victim was a friend of his.

Disgusting.

UPDATE, 9:22 p.m.: You can read more about what led up to “Joe’s” arrest by pointing and clicking your way to 373 Scam Avenue. WARNING/CAVEAT: the litany of charges being brought forth are seriously disturbing.

Great Moments In Brooklyn Real Estate: Curb Appeal

It’s not exactly clear where this domicile is located. Sure, it is listed as being in Greenpoint (and near P.S. 31, no less) —but the copy goes on to state in is located in Gravesend. Yours truly finds this interesting as these two neighborhoods are located on opposite ends of the Borough of Kings. This of course begs a number of questions. Among them:

1. Is Gravesend the new Greenpoint?
2. Has anyone actually voiced interest in this apartment? I mean, the above image does not exactly exude “curb appeal”— but with loft living being all the rage perhaps I am simply being old fashioned?

Props go to Miss Mousey Brown for this find.

Now For Sale In “Little Poland”: Uncle Joe

In one of the more interesting (and perhaps fitting) Halloween displays to manifest on Manhattan Avenue, I present for your viewing pleasure “Uncle Joe”. This red wine hails from (where else?) Georgia and can be seen gracing the window of Z & Wine & Liquors. Note the red velvet coverlet and mischievous glint in Mr. Stalin’s eye. Has he just perpetrated a(another) purge— or is he simply waiting to come home with you? There’s only one way to find out I suppose…

Do any of you, gentle readers, care to take a stab at this urban artifact? Quite frankly I’m (still) kind of speechless…

Yours truly stumbled upon this rather curious find in front of Tommy’s Tavern last night. Another fellow taking shots of it noted:

I wonder if someone stole the baby and simply dumped the stroller?

A woman walking her dog (and noting our interest) found this rather disturbing. Thus, I decided to speak up and mollify her concerns:

That looks like a rather nice stroller. I’m surprised no one has taken it and tried to sell it. As for why it is here, maybe the baby snatchers are to blame? It’s a somewhat obscure Monty Python sketch. Look it up.

They said they would. In the meantime here it is. Skip to 2:33 if you must. The whole clip is worth watching if you ask me.
