Two things. It would be nice if instead of towing from non-critical locations (i.e. not directly in front of a hydrant or on a crosswalk), you got a ticket and a warning for at least 48 hours before towing. Second, and perhaps more reasonably, it would be nice if they alerted the local precinct (i) that your car had been towed and (ii) to whence it had been towed.
