From The New York Shitty Inbox: Drunk Driving on Nassau Avenue?
Filed under: 11222, Criminal Activity, Greenpoint, Greenpoint Brooklyn, Greenpoint Magic
A person we’ll call “A” writes yesterday, March 5th, at 6:45 p.m.:
There was just a loud collision at the corner of Humboldt and Nassau – lots of witnesses. A clearly intoxicated driver rear ended another car. The driver was stumbling and slurring his words. Yelling at the other driver not to call the cops. And that he would give him $1000 if he just didn’t call the cops. I left because it was freezing and looked like it might get physical. Luckily it looked the driver of the first car was definitely calling the cops, as well as a couple other witnesses. And there was already a very long line of traffic backed up on Humboldt.
Anyway I’m writing because its really scary that someone was driving that drunk in our neighborhood at 6:30 pm (not that its ever not scary.)With the horrible accident with the delivery man from Chinese Musician just a few months ago this is starting to be an epidemic… If you find anything out about this, please post. I hope the cops were called. I tried to remember the plate number but forgot – NY plates though.
I contacted the head of the 94th, D.I. Hurson and here’s what he had to say:
Yes, we got him.
