This item was brought to my attention by my buddy Phil DePaolo. He writes:

A personal note. Events like this are vital to supplement cuts in funding to P.S 132. It is also a visually stunning event. Its also a great opportunity to meet many parents from all over the City who are very angry with the proposed cuts to our schools…

This upcoming Saturday, June 5, starting at noon the P.T.A. of PS 132 will be hosting Kite Day on the premises of CitiStorage. Having attended this event in the past (albeit at McCarren Park) I can attest that it is wonderful way to enjoy a sunny summer afternoon. And hey, you’ll be supporting a great cause: north Brooklyn’s youth. Check it out!

To get you in the mood, follows are some highlights from Kite Day in 2009. Enjoy!

  2. hmmm. The problem here seems to be that previously, the kite festival took place on McCarren Park.
This year it’s in a car park off Kent Avenue ?
