Yesterday afternoon I was walking along Commercial Street as the clouds were rolling in. When I reached Franklin Street I stopped and looked up. What I beheld was quite amazing.
It was at that moment I realized I don’t care what people say. Greenpoint is beautiful.

Wow, what a sky! I agree. Greenpoint is beautiful!
The city skyline and the panic of the skies are beautiful. Commercial Street in Greenpoint is not, now or ever, beautiful.
Save for the weeds growing up through concrete and the barbed wire atop the fence, it’s not a bad view. Think of how splendid it’ll be when the high-rise development begins! Sarcasm aside, or maybe not, I really do miss the old days of “Commerical St.” I should have *borrowed* that sign when I had the chance.
