It sure looks like this mattress was intentionally slashed, which is a great way to dissuade others from taking your bedbug-infested mattress. (I am being presumptuous, sure, but can you think of any other reason to slash your mattress before discarding?) Be warned: simply writing “Warning, Bed Bugs!” in several languages and a skill-and-crossbones in massive orange or red spraypaint is not enough. For people whose livelihood is re-selling mattresses, covering that stuff up is all in a day’s work… So slash it up, kids!
