In Other News…
It would appear that the reports of the death of Shanghai Lee have been greatly exaggerated. As I learned earlier this week they have simply relocated to 157 Franklin Street. They did a lovely job renovating the space, but I am more interested to learn what the food is like. Anyone?

A friend and I ordered $35 dollars worth of Shanghai Lee a few days ago. I enjoyed the old restaurant, so I figured the new one was going to be it’s equal. It most certainly was NOT! The orders were small, and worse, not very good. The Won-Ton soup was mediocre at best, the Calamari was just plain gross, Pineapple Fried Rice and Crispy Beef were passable. I don’t think they are going to last long. I’m partial to the Chinese Musician myself.
