Greenpoint Photo du Jour: Pulaski Bridge

I found this piece of ad hoc art or hooliganism (depending on one’s perspective) last night as I was walking to the Creek and Cave in Long Island City. Someone took the time and effort to trace the New York City skyline using blue plastic recycling bags. NICE.

  2. Not sure if I agree that it’s the skyline. I think it’s intended to look like an EKG readout. The heartbeat of the city?

  4. It is the skyline. If you stand directly in front of it, you’ll see: all the points line up.

  6. They (?) used to be shaped like 2 picture frames – framing Manhattan skyline. I was surprised and delighted to see they changed! The artist is among us! Perhaps commuting to a job, daydreaming over his Apple computer or training for the NY marathon! Yay! I love this!

  8. I walked by as you photographed that. Unless it was somebody else, I thought you would be much older for some reason. no offence meant by that.
