Gertie The Gopher Gets Ready To Party!

It’s been over a month since I have checked in with Greenpoint’s favorite varmint who I have taken to calling Gertie the Gopher. Lest you are wondering, she’s still hanging around Huron Street.

And it looks like she’s prepping for one hell of a 4th of July soiree!

    2. You’re right- looks like Gertie is getting ready for her rooftop 4th of July soiree!

    So what is the story with Gertie, anyway? Is it just a (once live) stuffed animal? Does it remain out there day/night- in all weather conditions?

    And on a side note- I’m kinda hoping they put outfits and hats on her at some point.

    3. I agree. This merits further investigation.

    I’ll even make the clothes for her if they’ll use them. Maybe it could be a seasonal thing, e.g,; on X-mas she is dressed as Santa, on Valentine’s Day a cupid, on St. Paddy’s, a leprechaun, etc.
