Williamsburg Video Du Jour: Last Gasp

Tonight I though I would polish off Christmas 2008 with a couple of photographs courtesy a la the Mister (from right here in Greenpoint!) and one of the most obnoxious display of holiday spirit I have ever seen. It hails from North 6th Street and well, seeing (and listening) is believing.

Wouldn’t you love to be this person’s neighbor? I for one prefer this more subdued but curiously rave-like Hannukah set up on Franklin Street.

Southside Photo Du Jour: Hanukkah-ish Edition

I like to call this bit of street art (which hails from South 4th Street) “Darth Dreidel”. This is because it resembles a dreidel and appears to have Darth Vader’s mug on it. Lest you are wondering if such an item exists in real life, dear readers, it does— albeit using R2-D2 instead. Happy holiday crafting Sci Fi geeks!

Happy Hanukkah From New York Shitty!

Earlier today I wrote: I don’t know about you but there is NO WAY I am going outside today!

Once the sun came out later I couldn’t resist throwing on my coat and enjoying some sorely missed sunshine. I’m glad I did as I got this lovely photograph from McCarren Park.

Happy Hannukah everybody!
