It’s a beautiful little building. When do you think it was built? My initial impression is 1850s.
1850’s is spot on. This is what happens when greed overrides preservation of the character of a neighborhood. The 2005 rezone of north Brooklyn’s waterfront promised a lot of things, affordable and low income housing among them. Have yet to see it. Probably never will— unless it is tacked onto a 40+ story high-rise.
