Hi Miss Heather,
I walked by Relish Diner yesterday and it is closed! The owner taped up a beautiful note on the door- maybe you could share it? She mentions when Planet Thailand was a tiny space with a lunch counter- I remember going there then. The memories of the neighborhood were beautifully written.

Without further ado, here it is:

Miss Heather

  2. “…..while every single table talked about art projects.”

    Translation:

Unemployed hipsters killing time while waiting for the folks back home to wire money into their accounts. Performance art in its ultimate form. Doesn’t get better than that, kids.

  4. Kinda sad to see another good place close up. Even though I only went there a few times and haven’t gone in a few years.

Well, its not the 90’s anymore.

    Good luck Sandy!

  6. My friends and I ate here on a regular basis in the mid-late 1970s, when the Wrubel family owned the place. Nicest people you could ever meet. The fact that they tolerated our juvenile antics is a testament to that.
