New York Shitty Photos du Jour: Flowers

This ad hoc bit of art hails from Commercial Street. On a (somewhat) related note a chap named Matthew Barbieri will be giving away sunflowers to interested gardeners (One per person, folks!) today starting at 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of North 12 Street and Bedford Avenue!

And a Challenge!

Doug (took the above photograph) writes:

Hi, I thought I’d tell you that there are two hawks nesting somewhere in or very near McCarren Park. I’ve seen it (from the ground) already, pretty cool. I want to see how long it takes you to find it. Starting the clock now.

I for one think this is pretty darned neat. However, methinks I will take up Doug’s challenge in a day or two (clock notwithstanding). Web mistresses need a day (or two) off too! Thanks again for forwarding this find to me, Doug. It has made my day!

On a lark, I looked up the url listed on the bottom left-hand corner of this “poster” when I got home. What I discovered was rather neat. Check it out!
