New York Shitty Videos du Jour: Kittens!

When I received word from Donna of Dog Habitat Rescue, that Queenie (as seen in the background) had a litter of fetching felines April 30th, I simply had to see the cuddly undulating cluster of kitten cuteness myself. And today— despite a churning stomach (courtesy of food poisoning)— I did. Kittens cure everything!

Here’s the proud mom.

This fellow struck me as being especially handsome.

But photos do not really get the point across— video is much better!

These kittens— and their incredibly sweet mother— will be up for adoption in a few weeks. When they are reasy to make their debut I will post it here!

P.S.: Props go out to my eagle-eyed compatriot at Brooklyn Imbecile for spotting and capturing the second item (that has since received an addition which appears to be written in excrement). Great find!

REMINDER: Community Board 1 Joint Committee Meeting

On May 3, 2012 I wrote:

While I am vaguely on the subject, I saw a great deal activity (READ: a small army of Parks employees cleaning, “weed whacking”, etc.) this morning at Cooper Park.

Follows is a tip I received from an anonymous tipster the very next day! He/she writes:

i overheard… that a compromise has been reached.  8 bbq pits – NOT 10 – will be installed this Sunday.

While passing by Cooper Park this afternoon I noticed something different. Namely that there are eight newly installed barbecue pits…

and they appear to be a big hit! I suppose this still leaves the Union Avenue Demapping subject to debate…
