The Calyer Cooze, Revisited
Scarcely a week ago I wrote a post about the proliferation of vaginal imagery on my neighborhood’s trees. Today I wish to report that I made another pass by the Calyer Cooze this week and came to the realization that I had made a glaring oversight.
Even without the pink vulva inscribed on it…
this tree trunk is terrifying in its anatomical correctness.

I’ve been enjoying that piece of tree crotch art for a very long time. It adds the perfect amount of mystery and curiosity to my Keyfood jaunts. I once saw a guy carrying it. Did he want to bring it home? He got about five steps before setting it down. Too heavy, I guess. Public art needs a certain heft prevent theft.
