Urban Fur: Meet Q-Tip
If there’s one thing yours truly likes it is pets named after inanimate objects. The fact this winsome (and fierce) little fella is named after something one usually associates with cleaning out one’s ears (among other things) is pure gravy. This post is for you (and your companion whose name I forget), Q-Tip!

Hi Heather.. wanted to see if you can help us spread the word for our Dia De Los Muertos/2 yr. anniversary/City Harvest canned food drive. Its on Nov 1st. from 5 til 930. free beer. free tattoos* w/a purchase of a brewed to order coffee. (our sugar skull* must tip artist.) It should be fun. Maybe you can join us. If not maybe you can help us get the word out. Thanks any help is big help. We want to hit our goal of 200 lbs of food this year.
As it would happen I hit the Beaner Bar’s 1st Anniversary fiesta last year. It was a lot fun. I especially enjoyed the mariachi music. My tip for teetotalers: get their hot chocolate. It’s among the best to be had in Greenburg!

Williamsburg Halloween Watch: Three Ghosts
Is it just me or is there less Halloween spirit than usual in north Brooklyn? Some of my favorite haunts (pun completely intended) have yet to put any decorations at all. Perhaps they are simply running behind? I can only hope so. In any case, I was happy to see these three goodfellas back at in on Metropolitan Avenue yesterday!

As I mentioned previously, there are a number of food drives going on right now. For those of you who are less inclined towards the living dead (or simply live nearby) you can leave donations of canned goods at M. De Vito Paint & Wallcovering.
