From The New York Shitty Inbox: Daisy (Still) Needs A Home
Hi,
I e-mailed you a while back about posting my two cats that were up for adoption (http://www.newyorkshitty.com/greenpoint-goodness/?p=67551) – soon after your post, Pancakes found a home, but his mom Daisy is still looking for a home. I was wondering if you might post her picture and a link to my site that has more info (greenpointkittens.wordpress.com). I took in her and her kittens, and
although they’ve all found homes, she’s still looking for her permanent home. Daisy is about 3 years old, super sweet and loves to be pet. Unlike some cats (not naming any names) she is really
appreciative of any attention that comes her way. She likes to follow me around, play with feather toys and chase crumpled paper.
She’s a really great cat and I’m hoping to find her a permanent home soon where she can have all of the space and attention she deserves. I think she would do best as an only cat or as a first cat. I know she will make a great pet for someone, she’s a a very easy cat to take care of, not at all a troublemaker.
Anyone who is interested in giving Daisy a permanent, loving home should contact Leslie at greenpointkitties (at) gmail (dot) com. Thanks!

From The New York Shitty Inbox: Call For Entries!
Hello Heather
We are pleased to announce that the 2nd Annual Greenpoint Film Festival is now accepting submissions! After the wonderful success of last year’s inaugural festival, we have expanded to programs made up of submitted films. We are seeking exceptional films in all genres and lengths to be screened during the festival in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in the Fall of 2012. It is a unique opportunity for filmmakers to present their new works alongside high quality curated programs. For more information about the application and our guidelines, visit http://greenpointfilmfestival.org/submissions-guidelines-2012/. Please share this exciting information with the New York Shitty readership.
This is of course something I am more than happy to do. Here it goes!
CALL FOR ENTRIES
The 2nd Annual Greenpoint Film Festival
The Greenpoint Film Festival, produced by the Brooklyn-based multimedia arts organization Woven Spaces, is anticipating it second annual event in the Fall of 2012. This year we are pleased to present a combination of curated programs and a submission-based competition. Our programming includes local and international work by both established filmmakers as well as up-and-coming artists and students. We focus our programs on cutting-edge experimental work and ‘green’ filmmaking. The festival hopes to highlight the Greenpoint neighborhood and its flourishing position as a cultural hub.

Good luck— or would that be break a leg— Greenpointers! Closing on a somewhat related note I’d like to humbly recommend that a screening of Street Trash might be in order this time around.
