Greenpoint Photo du Jour: Almost Done

The final touches are being made and as you can see foodstuffs and sundries have their way to the shelves. Per a chap overseeing the renovation of Greenpoint Grocery they will re-open in “3-4 days”. Nice job, Saleh and Amin!

Spotted At 1018 Manhattan Avenue: Shuttered

Many of you have probably noticed that the above bodega (and Greenpoint institution of sorts) has been shuttered. I had heard rumors that Saleh and Amin were trying to sell this establishment but I am pleased to announce that this is not the case! Rather, they are undertaking a massive renovation project and hope to be back open in a couple of weeks. I can hardly wait to see the new and improved Greenpoint Grocery!
