From The New York Shitty Inbox: An Update Regarding The Home Invasions/Sexual Assaults Came To Pass This Weekend…

From the 94th Precinct via an anonymous tipster:

1. On Monday, August 12, 2013 at approximately 2000 hours the suspect knocked on the door of an apartment in the confines of the 94 Precinct. The victim, F/A/27 opened the door and the suspect struck her in the face knocking her unconscious. When the victim awakened the suspect was on top of her sexually assaulting her. The victim began to fight off the suspect and screamed causing him to flee with her cell phone and laptop. The victim was removed to Woodhull Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

2. At approximately 2145 hours, the suspect entered an unlocked door of an apartment in the vicinity of Russell Street and Driggs Avenue, in the confines of the 94 Precinct and forced the victim, F/H/40 onto the couch.  The victim’s screams alerted her husband who fought the suspect off her.  He subsequently fled the apartment with her cell phone. No serious injuries were sustained from this incident.

3.  At approximately 2205 hours, as the victim, F/W/44  was securing her bicycle to a pole at Kingsland Avenue and Nassau Avenue, in the confines of the 94 Precinct, the suspect approached her, struck her in the face with a bag and sexually assaulted her.  No serious injuries were sustained from this incident.

4. At 2223 hours the suspect entered an unlocked door of an apartment located in the vicinity of Norman Avenue and Kingsland Avenue, in the confines of the 94 Precinct. Once inside, the suspect forced the victim, F/W/37 onto the couch.  The victim’s screams alerted her roommate who fought the suspect off her.  He subsequently fled the apartment in unknown direction with a cell phone and laptop computer. No serious injuries were sustained from this incident.

Additional Impact officers were requested to conduct a canvass of the suspect described as M/B or M/H 20-22, short hair, strong cheek bones and tan shorts. At approximately 0130 hours on August 13, 2013 two Impact officers were approached by a female who stated there was a homeless male sleeping on the 3rd floor of 161 Nassau St. Officers entered the location and observed the homeless male sleeping who also fit the description of the suspect wanted in the previous incidents.  The suspect taken into custody. Property believed to be that of the victims were found on the suspect. The investigation ongoing.

The list of charges against this suspect (whose identity I have chosen NOT to make public) are as follows:

  • Charges
  • Rape
  • Attempted Rape
  • Burglary
  • Robbery
  • Forcible Touching
  • Sexual Abuse

Helicopters…

We have been hearing a lot of them lately. Those of you who heard them last night, here’s why. The Community Affairs office of the 94th Precinct writes:

Early this morning 8/13/2013 around 0130 hrs one male Hispanic 24 years old was apprehended inside the stairway of 162 Nassau Avenue. The male is believed to be the sole perpetrator in 3 separate home invasions and sexual assaults between the hours of 8pm and 1030pm on 8/12/2013. The assaults occurred on Berry Street, Engert Avenue and Nassau Avenue.

The investigation is ongoing by the 94pct Detective Squad and the Brooklyn North Special Victims Squad. Charges are pending.

The good news is this may very well have been the fellow responsible for no less than three home invasions and sexual assaults and he has been apprehended. The bad news is three home invasions and sexual assaults came to pass. ABC has more details, which can be had here.

Please, please be vigilant folks. Make sure the front doors of your building and apartments are secure— and if you see something suspicious say something to 911 STAT.

From The New York Shitty Inbox: A Home Invasion At The Viridian?

November 11, 2011 ·
Filed under: 11222, Criminal Activity, Greenpoint, Greenpoint Brooklyn, Greenpoint Magic

You read me correctly, folks. None other than the head of the 94th Precinct, Deputy Inspector Hurson, has alerted me that a home invasion came to pass at 110 Green Street (AKA: The Viridian) involving two men— one of whom was sporting a fire arm— today. Thus far no arrests have been made.

This just goes to show that even a building with a doorman can be vulnerable to individuals with very bad intentions. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: be sure the front door of your building and apartment is locked at all times; be mindful of your surroundings and above all if you see something say something to the police. That’s what they’re here for!
