P.S.: Special thanks goes out to Dawn Babbush of East Williamsburg’s very own Vortex for tipping me off to Irma’s Toy Shop!

P.S.: While I am on the subject of streets and art I found something interesting next to the entrance at La Marqueta this afternoon.

If this is your sort of thing (and you know who you are), go to Moore Street just west of Humboldt. Your dream girl awaits!

East Williamsburg Photo du Jour: Champ

I have featured the work of “Super” from Montrose Avenue on a number of occasions. (You can see the gradual evolution of this sign by clicking here and here.) Needless to say when I saw this, his latest and fifth attempt, I had to pass it along here. The blue ribbon reading “Champ” is a nice touch— and is very well deserved!

I’m not too sure what kind of merchandise/services the “Holy Ghost Rebel Corporation” offers but I’m happy to see they recycle! A LOT.

Just when I thought television couldn’t possibly inflict anything worse on the viewing public I discovered this advertisement at Montrose Avenue stop of the L. Is it just me or do these young bucks look like they’re queued up for a gang bang? I suppose, metaphorically speaking, they are. I guess I should just be content that these gents have shirts on. Nonetheless I still find myself asking:

Why god, why?
