Spotted On Engert Avenue: DL Boards

The one thing I love about Greenpoint— and New York City in general— is you never know what you are going to find around any given corner. Thus I was pleasantly surprised when turned onto Engert Avenue from Leonard Street and stumbled upon a man busy making skateboard decks. The name of this endeavor is DL Boards— as in Derek and Lauren— who are not only boyfriend and girlfriend but also collaborators!

While not an enthusiast myself, I have to say I was pretty fond of a deck Lauren designed (as seen above at right).
