From the 94th Precinct via an anonymous tipster:

1. On Monday, August 12, 2013 at approximately 2000 hours the suspect knocked on the door of an apartment in the confines of the 94 Precinct. The victim, F/A/27 opened the door and the suspect struck her in the face knocking her unconscious. When the victim awakened the suspect was on top of her sexually assaulting her. The victim began to fight off the suspect and screamed causing him to flee with her cell phone and laptop. The victim was removed to Woodhull Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

At approximately 2145 hours, the suspect entered an unlocked door of an apartment in the vicinity of Russell Street and Driggs Avenue, in the confines of the 94 Precinct and forced the victim, F/H/40 onto the couch.  The victim’s screams alerted her husband who fought the suspect off her.  He subsequently fled the apartment with her cell phone. No serious injuries were sustained from this incident.

3.  At approximately 2205 hours, as the victim, F/W/44  was securing her bicycle to a pole at Kingsland Avenue and Nassau Avenue, in the confines of the 94 Precinct, the suspect approached her, struck her in the face with a bag and sexually assaulted her.  No serious injuries were sustained from this incident.

  2. Why would you choose to not make his name public? What kind of privacy or courtesy does this douchebag criminal deserve? It’s not a case of possible false arrest – it’s very clear that this is the guy. As an aside, the local news stations did report his name as Edgar Marrero.

  4. “…sexually assaulted her. No serious injuries were sustained from this incident.”

I’ve seen this sort of thing in reports before. I want to ask the writer if a sexual assault isn’t a serious injury, whether physical or emotional.

  6. Because this is my blog and I am holding off on calling this fellow guilty unless he confesses or is determined guilty by a jury of his peers. That’s why.
