As I have noted previously, there have been some issues with 94th Precinct Community Council meetings conflicting with those of our local Community Board. Thus, I am pleased to announce the previous have amended their schedule for the remaining year to remedy this problem. Henceforth meetings of the Community Council will be on the first Wednesday of every month— to take note!

Greenpoint Photo du Jour: 986 Manhattan Avenue

Many of you have undoubtedly noticed this storefront (formerly a women’s apparel store) is undergoing an overhaul. Curious, I asked a couple of men on the premises this morning what’s up. They jokingly stated they are opening a Chinese restaurant. Upon noticing that I took them quite seriously (I rule nothing out of the realm of possibility anymore) they ‘fessed up: a record store will be gracing this space. So there have you!
