look who had a little adventure last night outside the shady eastern poultry / abc pet food company on noble and West..
didn’t see her again this morning, hopefully she’s relaxing in one of our fine waterfront parks…
Nice! Come to think of it, this reminds me of a story…

Calyer Cooze notes (in regards to this post):
And here’s the latest Craigslist ad! Nausea, indeed. http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/abo/3003528111.html (As seen above, for posterity)
On that note, I had a very interesting bit of information brought to my attention. That being:
239 Banker Street does not have an a Certificate of Occupancy for a hotel. Thus the question becomes why are they being taxed as such? Anyone who cares to take up this interesting discrepancy can (and should) do so by clicking here.

Hey Heather,
Thought I’d give you a heads up- someone installed a skimmer on the door card reader for the Greenpoint HSBC branch. My card was copied, and someone took $1000 out of my account (not that I had $1000, but now I have $850 overdrafted and am missing $150). One of the workers at the branch said it happened last Sunday, and I just today got the call from the fraud department.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know, if you wanted to post up on NYS just in case other people have been scammed 🙁
Thanks as always for the intrepid reporting! 🙂
Yikes! Exercise caution, folks. You can get some tips on how to spot “skimmers” by clicking here.
Spotted On Manhattan Avenue: Lost Cat
You know the drill, gentle readers: if you have seen Sophie (or know of her whereabouts) say something to her person at the above-listed telephone number. Thanks!

New York Shitty Videos du Jour: Kittens!
When I received word from Donna of Dog Habitat Rescue, that Queenie (as seen in the background) had a litter of fetching felines April 30th, I simply had to see the cuddly undulating cluster of kitten cuteness myself. And today— despite a churning stomach (courtesy of food poisoning)— I did. Kittens cure everything!
Here’s the proud mom.
This fellow struck me as being especially handsome.
But photos do not really get the point across— video is much better!
These kittens— and their incredibly sweet mother— will be up for adoption in a few weeks. When they are reasy to make their debut I will post it here!
