From The New York Shitty Inbox, Part I: Anyone Looking For A Studio Share?
This item comes courtesy of a chap named Tony. He writes:
I just signed a lease on a really nice 600 square foot art studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn at 233 Norman Avenue (same building that my studio was in a year ago).
I am a small-scale sculptor (here’s my work) looking to share my space with another artist or craftsman or two.
This space can be divided into two or three spaces, depending on what you, the potential studio mate wants. I’m open to both possibilities. The rent would be either $350 or $550 for your portion. The total rent for the space is $1050, plus minimal utilities.
This is a good space, in a well-maintained building, good natural light, freight elevator, intercom, good neighbors, safe area, 24/7 access, open studios, near the B24, B48 & the G train
I’m looking for a respectful, dependable studio mate with a 6 month minimum commitment. First, last & security to move in.
It’s also worth mentioning that I work a full-time job and won’t even be in the space during normal business hours.
Please feel free to forward this email to anyone you might know that might be interested.
Any and all who are interested in viewing or sharing Tony’s studio space should contact him via his advertisements on Craigslist. These can be found here and here.

This morning I noticed via my pal Caryn’s Flickr page that this item was still gracing Banker Street. Having some free time on my hands I decided to swing by personally and see how things were progressing.
As you can see matters are getting desperate.

Yesterday yours truly was contacted by a reporter from Reuters named Anthony DeRosa. He was working on a tome about how the mainstream media plagiarizes blogs. As you can imagine, gentle readers, I had a great deal to say about this phenomenon. Well, I am pleased to report this article is online and lavishes a great deal of attention on— or at least links heavily to— yours truly. Enjoy!
