Spotted On McKibben Street: Good Advice

Yes, the holiday season has come and gone. But love, solidarity and friendship never go out of season! This made my day.

Urban Fur: Back To Work

I, among many other North ‘Pointers, was absolutely elated to hear the good news that C.C. has been safely returned to his place of work/play. Naturally this morning I had to swing by Animal Planet and welcome him back. What awaited me was a changed man.

Not only is C.C. downright affectionate nowadays, but his person told me he answers to his name now is downright aggressive about getting lovins’.

If the scratches I spied on his nose are any indication, I’d say Mr. Sabathia had a run-in with an urban lion even more formidable than himself. Perhaps working retail isn’t such a bad “gig” after all? His co-worker, Kobe (who’s traditionally been the more level-headed of the pair), had this to say about C.C.’s homecoming: a hiss and a healthy swat to the face. That’ll learn him.

When I saw this chap last night I simply had to ask him if I could take a photograph. Pandas, being an endangered species, are quite rare. And this was the first and only time I have seen one in north Brooklyn! True to form this 11222-er had his “smartphone” on the ready. Note the carefully placed hole in his “mouth” so as to accommodate a cigarette. One word: awesome.

As some of you might recall one of north Greenpoint’s more substantial shop cats, C.C. (as seen at left), went missing from Animal Planet last November. Well, today I have very good news! He has been found!

Apparently a woman on Eagle Street spied hm and contacted his “people” at Animal Planet. They came over with a carrier which, naturally, he refused to enter. However, when food was offered he felt quite differently; he pounced upon it and they upon him.

As for what C.C. experienced during his two month leave of absence is anyone’s guess: he isn’t talking. I suspect (or would that be hope?) the recent arrival of some downright brutal weather will motivate him to stay indoors moving forward.

More specifically: has anyone lost a “valued-added” pair of green sweatpants and consequently any remaining shred of human dignity? If so, worry no more (at least not about the pants). Someone has found them near the White Castle on Metropolitan Avenue! Via Craigslist:

Two nights ago I found a pair of green sweatpants with blue boxer briefs inside. Both the undies and the sweats had been defecated upon, then possibly dragged for several meters before being discarded alongside of the road. The nearby White Castle suggests that an explosive bowel movement took place shortly after the consumption of numerous jalapeno sliders and buffalo chicken rings. The victim, possibly wearing a long jacket or sweater capable of hiding their genitalia, proceeded to strip down their shit-stained trousers and continue walking like nothing ever happened.

If this sounds eerily similar to what happened to you at 4:30 AM this past Saturday and you care to reclaim your filthy sweats and undies, please contact the above email address. And shame on you.
