I guess it’s still a “secret” if a lowly blogger writes about/reviews it first. In any case I’m glad Peter Pan Bakery got some well-deserved publicity for this fine creation. They deserve it.

Hardly. Why buy the cow when you (or in this case, they: The New York Daily News) can get the milk (or, in this: ice cream doughnut sandwiches) for free?
As a fat kid who ate more donuts and ice cream than I care to recall, I am disappointed in myself for not creating this first. I mean, it’s simple and genius! How did I not think of it decades ago?! (and I did have a red velvet with vanilla ice cream last Sunday. PERFECTION!)
