CC (on the right) has always loved to go out and discover the neighborhood – block after block. When he did not return for the night, I expected the worst. The pet store owner worried, looked, posted fliers and suspected he was stolen. CC materialized after couple of months – reportedly living in a construction site nearby. He refused to return to the store, however. A few more weeks passed and CC decided to come back after all. He is not interested in going out anymore.

Proof of how smart cats are. They make decisions based upon very careful considerations.
In the case of C.C.; he weighed the value of living on the streets against a more circumscribed, but comfortable, existence as a shop cat. He probably got an ass-whooping from a Greenpoint fighting tabby fiercer than himself as well. But he isn’t talking. 😉
