This is one of the “Stuff That Makes Miss Heather Happy” files: Elmhurst’s very own Oswaldo Gomez (usually known as Ms. Colombia) making an appearance at this year’s Mermaid Parade! Now this is in and of itself awesome. But what makes this photo (which UrbanPhotoz was kind enough to let me post) extra super special is Oswaldo was hospitalized not terribly long ago. It’s great to see she’s back and as happy as ever!
