New York Shitty Slide Show du Jour: Polish American Folk Dance Company

As I have mentioned previously on this site, Greenpoint’s very own Polish American Folk Dance Company is gearing up to compete in Poland this upcoming summer. To this end they have conducted a number of fund-raising events including having a live performance at the Warsaw. This came to pass yesterday afternoon. Yours truly attended and had a most enjoyable time. Follows is a slide show of highlights. Be sure to watch this in its entirety because the littlest dancer of the group is to be found at the very end. She is mind-bogglingly cute!

Last month (in a post featuring two very lovely young ladies) I had made mention that Greenpoint’s very own Polish American Folk Dance Company was raising money to compete at Rzeszów Festival, an international dance competition in Poland. Well, that time is drawing near and you have an opportunity to see them strut their stuff (and lend them a hand) this upcoming Sunday, May 19, at The Warsaw! The festivities start at 3:00 p.m. and tickets (which are $10.00 for children/students and $15.00 for adults respectively) can be purchased at the door or at The Forum Agency which is located at 616 Manhattan Avenue. Check it out!

When I saw these two stunning lasses this afternoon I simply had to take their photograph. Afterward, they told me about a fundraiser their group, Polish American Folk Dance Company, was conducting to pay for travel expenses so they can enter a competition in Poland. Naturally I swung by. That’s when I learned they will be performing their entry for our delectation at Greenpoint’s very own Warsaw June 19th. Methinks I will have to check this out!

P.S.: The PAFDC will be having another fundraiser this upcoming Saturday, May 21, at The Loft (which is located at 222 West Street). You can get the 411 for this event by clicking here!
