Urban Feather: Wednesday
When I saw the pink plumage I had to go in for a closer look. When I did I learned this festively fettled lass’s name is Wednesday. And today— a Friday— she made quite a splash on Manhattan Avenue!

P.S.: For those of you who are wondering, Wednesday’s plumage was given a vibrant bright pink hue with food coloring.

After yesterday’s delightful offering of Chuckie’s head impaled on a car antenna outside our world-famous waste treatment facility I feel compelled to share some more poppet goodness from the New York Shitty photo pool. Without further ado, here they are.
Piked in Bushwick by Entropymedia.
Barbies in the buff, Sunset Park style, by Carnade.
Fucked up beyond all recognition on Houston Street as spied by Bitchcakes.
And last— but hardly least— a little something from the Garden Spot shot by yours truly.

Queens Crap recently received a real gem in his “crap box”: a Department of Sanitation memo outlining how waste is to be transported hereabouts. If you have ever wondered about this kind of thing (and I know you’re out there) here is the answer in a nutshell: it entails shuttling material fromĀ Long Island City through Greenpoint to Blissville.
Don’t take my word for it: point and click your way over to Queens Crap and see it for yourself! Reading is believing.

TOMORROW: Old Tymers Day

This item was brought to my attention by my buddy across the creek, Queens Crap. Tomorrow starting at 9:00 a.m. the folks at the recently re-launched Phun Factory will be hosting Old Tymers Day: a collaborative project by over 50 graffiti artists from the 1960’s – 1980’s which will give North 15 Street and its environs a much-needed makeover! You can learn more about this event and Phun Factory by heading over to the latter’s temporary web site. Check it out!

THIS IS AN ART PROJECT TITLE “BUNCH OF DUMBASSES IN THE WATER”
While scarcely a fan of television this gives me an opportunity to pass along some information that I (and undoubtedly the person who annotated this poster) found interesting. As it would happen there is Greenpointer in this season of Top Chef. Her name is Jacqueline Lombard and she is the fourth woman from the left.

Adoptable Cuties: Meet Stella & Chewy
When I saw the lovely photos Jay posted of these absolutely adorable Chihuahua/Yorkie mixes Dog Habitat recently rescued from a kill shelter I simply had to make their acquaintance. I am pleased to report that this not only came to pass earlier today— but Stella and Chewy are even more adorable in person! As you will see in the following video where Jay shares with us their story. Enjoy!
Chewy and Stella may be pint-sized pups— but they have a big dog appetite!
Anyone interested in giving either of these cuties the loving home they so richly deserve should contact Dog Habitat via telephone at (347) 601-8678 or via email at: rescue (at) doghabitat (dot) org.
Thanks!
