From The New York Shitty Photo Pool: Carbecue
Ah yes, nothing says Spring has arrived in Greenpoint quite like a charbroiled S.U.V. Take this splendid example from Kent Street as captured by Kitchen Prof March 29 for example. I have little doubt shenanigans such as this will provide ample added-value in the way of scenic vistas (if not property appreciation) to the tenants of the Pencil Lofts for some time to come! Nice.

Greenpoint Street Furniture Du Jour: Artfully Discarded
Filed under: Greenpoint Magic
I’m not too sure why the person (presumably someone from Ladder 106, where these fine specimens of street seating were found) who discarded these comfy chairs saw fit to paint yellow stripes on them.
But let’s just be happy he (or she) did; they coordinate very nicely with the curb. Whoever you are mystery person, BRAVO!

TONIGHT: Beer Tasting
Those of of you looking for something to do this evening (unlike me— who has been busy with Robert Guskind’s memorial service*, tonight I get to write my speech) will be pleased as punch to know Brouwerij Lane will be hosting beer tasting this evening starting at 4:00 p.m.
10 taps + 8 ounces pours + $2.00 samples = GOOD TIMES!

Eric Perlmutter (who contributed this fun and curiously appropriate shot) writes:
Saw this today on Lorimer between Bedford and Driggs and thought you might like it.
Indeed I do! Thanks for passing this along Eric and here’s to 60 degree weather and sunny skies tomorrow!

Found In East Williamsburg
Hmm… I wonder what that round thing is? I think I’ll go over and get a closer look.
If anyone out there is missing an asshole no worries, I found it on Varet between Bogart and White Street. You might want to tote along a little Charmin. He (or she) looks a little “soiled”.

A Revue Of Greenpoint Street Furniture
This week the street furniture gods have smiled upon Greenpoint. Perhaps this is due to a number of people moving? Or the fact I live in Bedbug central? I try not to think about it too much to be perfectly frank. In any case, here’s a revue of my latest finds. Enjoy!
This stunning ensemble hails from Newel Street. Not only has a stylish three legged coffee table been thrown… in for good measure…
but you also get a sock. Use it wisely.
This much worse for wear bit of street seating comes courtesy of Norman Avenue. If only these cushions could talk; I bet they’d have an interesting tale to tell!
I found this saucy number on Nassau Avenue. Why someone would discard something this stylish is beyond me. I am certain they had their reasons.
Last— but hardly least— Meeker Avenue hits us up with this cream colored sleeper. There are a lot of home furnishings roaming the streets of our mean city. These are but a few. Until next time…
