Yours truly is acclimatized to seeing a number of unusual things in the Garden Spot. This is a large part of the reason I live here. Needless to say when I saw a young woman walking a cat on a leash on Green Street I took it all in stride. I inquired as to this chap’s name.

Cat

She replied and then went on to explain he is her sister’s cat and she had been charged with taking him for a walk. She added that he doesn’t really have a name (hence why he is called “cat”) but when he gets one it will be a big one because he is (and I quote) “awesome”.

That, he is!

TONIGHT: Subtexture Solo Show

This evening the Garden Spot’s very own Chris Smith (who some of you might recall is the brains behind the most awesome Greenpoint t-shirt EVER) will be having an opening reception at the G- Spot. “Everything from guitars, vintage race cars, road signs, street shadows and a new custom wall sized collage entitled “Road Trippin” are promised. I also have word new Greenpoint t-shirts and rum punch and brews provided by Brouwerij Lane will be offered for your delectation.
